A message from the artist
Hi, I’m Harriet.
Every mosaic I make is crafted by hand, piece by piece, through a thoughtful process that takes time and care. It’s a practice rooted in patience and love, and my hope is that this intention shines through in your home.
In a world that feels like it could use a little more peace right now, I believe art has the power to bring calm, warmth, and connection into our daily lives. Each mosaic is a reflection of that belief: small pieces coming together to create something whole and meaningful.
This studio is where I share the work I create, take some custom orders, and connect with the community that inspires me. Thank you for being here, for supporting handmade craft, and for letting these mosaics bring a touch of peace into your space.

Sustainable Materials
Every piece starts with intention—not just in design, but in what it’s made of. Harriet carefully selects high-quality, sustainable materials that are built to last, often incorporating reclaimed tiles, salvaged ceramics, and rescued glass to give old things new life. It’s her way of honoring the process, reducing waste, and creating art that’s as thoughtful as it is beautiful.

Artist Spotlight: Mosaics by Harriet

Harriet’s mosaics are on display all October long! Stop by the main lobby of Adriance Memorial Library in Poughkeepsie to explore a colorful collection of her handmade creations. From peace signs and hearts to whimsical animals and one-of-a-kind designs, there’s a little something for everyone.
And if something catches your eye, some of the pieces are even available for purchase!

Apple of the Valley: A Mosaic Celebration of the Hudson Valley
Harriet is excited to be part of Apple of the Valley, a community art project bringing together local artists to celebrate the beauty and spirit of the Hudson Valley!
For this special event, Harriet created a one-of-a-kind mosaic apple featuring colorful glass and ceramic tiles. One side celebrates the beauty of nature, with rolling green hills, flowers, birds, and apple trees, while the other shares a simple message of love for the Hudson Valley.
You can find Harriet’s apple on display in Milton, NY, near the firehouse, directly across from The Red House restaurant!
These unique apples are displayed throughout the community before being auctioned off to support local causes. 50% of the proceeds from Harriet’s apple will benefit the Marlborough Arts Coalition (MaArCo) and the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library.
And there’s still time to make Harriet’s apple your own! Bidding is still open, so if this colorful creation catches your eye, you can place a bid and support two wonderful local organizations at the same time!

Ever wanted to try your hand at making a mosaic? Here’s your chance!
Join Harriet at the Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library for a fun, hands-on mosaic workshop! Learn a little about the art of mosaics, get creative, and enjoy making something special of your own.
The class is completely free, but space is limited! There may still be a few spots available, so be sure to sign up while you can.
